Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager will plan and direct the accounting activities of Hilliard Office Solutions.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting/administrative departments who are responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, budget preparation, purchasing, inventory and customer service.
• Recruits and hires administrative and accounting staff.
• Conducts performance evaluations and sets monthly/quarterly/annual objectives.
• Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:

· month and end-year process

· accounts payable/receivable

· cash receipts

· general ledger

· payroll and utilities

· treasury, budgeting

· cash forecasting

· revenue and expenditure variance analysis

· capital assets reconciliations

· trust account statement reconciliations

· check runs

· fixed asset activity

· debt activity

• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial and management reports
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
• Coordinate and complete annual audits
• Provide recommendations
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
• Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Meet financial accounting objectives
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Account Supervisor or Finance Manager

· Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases

· Ability to manipulate large amounts of data

· Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations

· High attention to detail and accuracy

· Ability to direct and supervise

Education and Experience:

• BS or Masters in Accounting/Finance or MBA.
• Eight years or more of related experience required.
• Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
