About this role:
Under the direction of the Health Services Administrator (HSA), Program Manager (PM), or higher licensed medical professional, the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative and professional office support to the operations management team.
What you bring to the table:
Education:
  • High school graduate; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience:
  • Two (2) years of experience working in an office environment, Human Resources, or completion of business courses with certification
  • Previous correctional/detention facility experience preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
  • Current (and must maintain) lifesaving BLS or ACLS certification through AHA
  • Current (and must maintain) security clearance
What you will do:
  • Provide administrative support to the Health Service Administrator, Assistant Health Service Administrator, and Director of Nursing
  • Collect and maintain statistical data as directed by the Health Service Administrator
  • Assist in payroll functions, i.e., verification of time cards, and coordination with the corporate office to ensure that all documentation required for payroll purposes is provided
  • Monitor for compliance per the health services contract in the area of staffing
  • Support Human Resources Department with updating employee personnel records as directed
  • Coordinates Employee Health and OSHA activities as directed by the Health Services Administrator, i.e., tuberculosis skin testing and fit testing
  • Works closely with and/or supports other administrative assistants on projects and in completing work duties
  • May assist in the job shadow portion of the interview process of potential staff
  • May assist in orientation and training of new employees
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
