About the position

The Salem Group, a leading contract / temporary staffing provider, is hiring talented proven sales professionals with expertise and passion for B2B solution -orientated selling. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for establishing and growing new client relationships as well as maintaining current clients. This position offers a competitive salary plus uncapped commissions, candidates that are meeting metrics should expect to earn $80,000-120,000+, a year in total first year compensation.

Ramp up and training plan is provided to get you to get you to where you need to be in 7-8 months.

The BDM will drive towards aggressive revenue goals, ultimately contributing to Salem’s growth to $100MM and beyond.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with marketing, to drive pipeline generation and exceed revenue goals.
  • Lead in-depth discovery meetings and demonstrate a deep interest in our client’s employment challenges, identify value – driven solutions that will provide staffing solutions and build long term customer engagements.
  • Speak comfortably about our various staffing solutions to a broad range of audiences from c-level executives to individual buyers

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of sales experience in contract/temporary staffing, or other service based consultative non-product sales such as Insurance or Enterprise experience.
  • A history of meeting and exceeding sales budgets.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience ideally in business or other applicable disciplines.
  • Strong drive to build and cultivate long lasting client relationships and the ability to use oral communication and presentation skills to conduct effective client meetings over the phone virtual platforms and in person.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to hold multiple stakeholders accountable throughout a sales cycle.
  • Familiarity with a solution-based approach to selling, have experience managing the sales process and possess excellent presentation and listening skills, organization and contact management capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in an extremely fast-paced, ever changing work environment. You’re able to keep up with a highly motivated team, a market that is growing extremely fast.
  • Must be a strategic thinker. You can see and communicate the big picture in an inspiring way.
  • You are enthusiastic. You exhibit passion and excitement for your work, and you have a can-do attitude.
