Job Description :
- JOB SUMMARYTo complete in a timely and efficient manner, daily insurance and patient payments and to correctly post payments to hospital patient accounts. Posting all transaction journal adjustments reports from the patient account representatives on a daily basis. Handling and maintaining the Business office cash drawer and log of daily monies. Assisting and directing the public to the correct patient account representative for assistance with balances and financial assistance. All communications are conducted in a manner that will result in positive patient relations.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to prioritize, detail oriented, good communication and interpersonal skills, maintain composure in all situations, possess professional demeanor, able to adjust to change, ability to problem solve and work independently and ability to work under stressful conditions.
- Handling/maintaining Cash drawer, computer systems, 10-key adding machine and good math skills.
- High School Diploma required.
- Preferred experience in knowledge of payments and reading Insurance Explanation of Benefits.
- Experience with maintaining and balancing a cash drawer. Basic Excel skills.
- Pre-employment – Must pass a pre-employment physical examination.
- Promotes good public relations through contact with patients, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees and other phone contacts.
- Must preserve the confidentiality of patient and hospital information.
