NOW CFO is seeking an experienced Controller to join our Clients team. Experience in the media industry is preferred. They were founded in 2013, and pride themselves on their dynamic and creative work environment.

As a Controller, you’ll have the opportunity to be intimately involved in the details while making high-impact strategic decisions, leading a team, and designing cross-functional processes from scratch in conjunction with the other senior managers in the company.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on yet strategic leader who can oversee all aspects of financial planning and analysis to support future growth. Bringing a strong analytical toolset and proven experience leading the planning and sales productivity activities of a larger complex company is desired.

The Controller will be responsible for the following:

• Lead all financial planning, forecasting, accounting, and reporting within the company and to the Board, owning the underlying financial forecast models, systems, and tools.
• Conduct financial analyses and provide strategic recommendations on operational and financial initiatives as you collaborate with leadership across the company to provide analytical rigor and evaluate strategic initiatives and key decision processes.
• Develop and monitor critical success metrics, and communicate actionable insights to relevant stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, financial and operational controls, and information systems in support of routine analysis and proper recordation/accumulation of financial reporting.
• Drive alignment on KPIs to measure business results and evaluate the health of the business.
• Ensure Company’s books and records are accurate and in compliance with GAAP and local, state, and federal laws.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in a finance-related role, including time leading a finance function.
• 5+ years of experience in a leadership role managing teams.
• Experience leading a business through monthly closes, solid FP&A experience and ideally experience with outside audits.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience identifying and building strategic initiatives from strategy through execution at an early-stage through growth-stage business.
