Executive Assistant Responsibilities
· Relieve CEO of administrative functions in order to increase the time the CEO has available for executive level responsibilities.
· Executive calendar management.
· Handle a wide variety of complex and confidential situations.
· Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material.
· Prepares routine and advanced correspondence including letters, memoranda, and reports.
· Board Liaison: Attend Board meetings, compile and distribute all Board meeting minutes and any pertinent information to Board members.
· Attend and interact at various meetings with or for the CEO. Some of these meetings include interaction with state and federal policy makers as well as local politicians.
· Assist with the development of seminars, presentations, and meetings.
General Responsibilities
· Maintain professional knowledge/skills by reviewing professional literature and attending trainings/workshops.
· Support and uphold GSIL policies and procedures, workplace regulations and safety practices.
· Share newsworthy information appropriately throughout the organization.
· Conduct other duties as assigned that will increase the options for persons with disabilities to live independently in their communities.

Education/Training/Experience
· A minimum of 5 years office experience necessary.
· Experience of working at Executive Assistant level with senior management and working with a Board.
· Must have knowledge and experience with office procedures and equipment.
· High level of computer literacy.
· Ability to organize, communicate and perform effectively in a team approach and independently.
· Personal experience with disabilities preferred.
