JOB SUMMARY:
Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data. Owner of all item related master data processes (item, BOM creation/maintenance) and controls

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain bills of material (BOMs) for all domestic sites (LeMars, Hermitage and Flagstaff)
• Verification of costs after a BOM is updated
• Financial attaché to the Procurement department
• Review item data setup for discrepancies
• Ensure consistency among like items
• Item master data support for LeMars facility
• Identify, measure, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), cost drivers, and critical success factors on all procurement related initiatives
• Backup and support on cost accounting functions
• Maintains financial security by following internal controls
• Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information and trends
• Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Able to analyze / interpret technical information, mathematical concepts, and form conclusions
• Must be able to speak, listen and openly communicate with team members and actively participate in team/department meetings and initiatives
• Follow direction and perform assigned work duties independently with minimal supervision
• Involves extensive computer systems/software operation and regular use of office equipment
• Position is essentially sedentary but must have ability to regularly climb stairs and access all areas of the office and plant

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Accounting Degree required, CMA preferred
• At least five years of relevant accounting experience required (or 3 years public)
• Cost Accounting experience preferred
• Lifelong learner
• Capability and willingness to collaborate with others
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with item creation and BOM preferred
• Must have demonstrated history of ability to work with high degree of attention to detail, timeliness, and confidentiality

Pay: $71,000.00 - $99,000.00 per year
