Job Overview:

As a Mechanical Engineer at Mechdyne, you will apply creative thinking to develop and design customized AV, IT, and Virtual Reality systems for current and future clients. You will be directly involved with projects by understanding all client requirements, helping select appropriate technology, and completing detailed designs for system installation and integration.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, specify and document structural, projection display/optics, audiovisual, conferencing, control system, computing, and tracking/interface systems for projects
• Develop documentation and associated drawings that educate the client on necessary and preferred facility construction specifications to support systems
• Assist with client site visits and on-site installation as needed
• Work hands-on with cutting-edge technology, including video conferencing, high performance computer graphics applications, computing equipment, networked visualization, streaming video, meeting space control systems, and facilities integration.
• Grow professionally through on-going training, certification programs, and continued learning
• Travel to domestic and foreign client sites, travel expectations start at 25%

Qualifications:

• 2- or 4-year degree in structural, industrial, mechanical design or equivalent engineering field
• 2D and 3D CAD experience
• Hands-on engineering experience

Additional experience with the following would also be desirable:

• General knowledge of Audio/Visual/Computer systems setup
• Construction experience
