On an average day as a RN On-Call Nurse, you will

• This role works a non-traditional schedule with hours outside of a typical 8-5
• This role will require regular weekend work
• A common on-call schedule would be 5:00 p.m. 8:00 a.m. with 7 days on and 7 days off
• (Part-time scheduling would consist of less days a week)
• This is a salaried role
• Provide initial and ongoing assessment of the impact of the terminal diagnosis on daily living, and patient's physical, functional, spiritual, psycho-social, and environmental needs
• Partner with an interdisciplinary team to implement and manage plans of care, determining scope, priority, and frequency of services based on patient/family needs, and recommending revisions as necessary
• Consult with and educate the patient/family regarding the disease process, self-care techniques, end-of-life care, and ethical concerns
• Communicate with the medical director and other clinicians regarding changes in patient needs and outcomes of intervention
• Prepare and submit documentation of observations, findings, and services provided
• And perform additional, related duties as needed

Desired Skills/Qualifications

• Must have an active RN license
• Ability to work outside of typical business hours
• Willingness to respond to our patients in their time of need
• Have a valid drivers license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation for the purpose of traveling to our patients
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to complete patient charting on a daily basis
• A passion for providing care
