Job Description

The Operations Manager delivers a wide range of critical support to the advisor, including HR and compliance functions, and helps to provide the resources and guidance our clients need to achieve their financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Investment Operations Specialist in understanding and servicing all investment products
• Attend in-person, phone and Zoom meetings with product sponsors in order to understand the products and communicate product changes to staff
• Assist with new business paperwork, as necessary
• Understand the life insurance and long-term care products available to us
• Meet with clients to review accounts
• Answer questions from clients in person, by phone and by email
• Review retirement projections and income plans with clients
• Collaborate with staff in solving problems and continuously improving processes
• Help prepare advisor for client review meetings
• Post meeting – review notes with advisor and staff and create follow up tasks
• Work with vendors to get proposals for and implement new 401k plans
• Visit employers to do enrollment meetings or review meetings with participants
• Assist in preparing materials for death claims and meet with beneficiaries
• Keep up-to-date and communicate with staff regarding all compliance issues
• Maintain securities registration, including all continuing education requirements
• Maintain life/health insurance license, including continuing education requirement
• Human Resources - hiring, training, weekly/monthly staff meetings, manage the annual review process
• Assist Advisor by meeting with him regularly to review outstanding items

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years’ experience in the financial services industry and/or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
• Series 7 and 66 licenses or ability and willingness to obtain immediately upon hire
• Minnesota life insurance license or ability and willingness to obtain immediately upon hire
• Management experience preferred
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Excellent follow-up and follow-through capabilities
• Personable, approachable with a positive attitude
• Organized, meticulous, detail-oriented and able to multitask
• Able to interact well with sophisticated, high net worth clients and all employees
• Able to exercise good judgment by recognizing urgency and setting priorities
• Able to work independently with good problem solving, mathematical and time management skills
• High degree of confidentiality
• Proficient with Windows based software, including MS Excel and Word
• Work experience that demonstrates interpersonal and teamwork skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
