Job Description :

Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality standards and protocol for processing materials into partially finished or finished products related to aircraft production activities. Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating material, equipment and assembled product to company and industry related standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs work assignments under general direction.
  • Participates in and administers elements of the company Material Review Board process.
  • Perform reviews of new and revised engineering, Process Plans and Test Procedures
  • Participates in data collection relative to Preventative/Corrective actions.

· Analyzes problem situations by reviewing facts and creating solutions for a variety of complex problems. May refer to established precedents and policies.

· Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment

· Performs quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.

· Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.

· May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.

· Requires a high level of proficiency to apply significant job-related experience.

· Ability to work with internal customers.

· Represents Company as a prime contact on contracts or projects. Interacts with internal and external personnel on significant matters.

· Affective communication Skills

· May assist others as a lead practitioner.

· Other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Excellent problem solving skills are required for this job
  • Additional skills required are administrative, analytical and communication skills. The application of complex, technical professional disciplines, applied use of related concepts, practices and methods.
  • Requires the application of general professional disciplines in concepts, practices and methods of business administration, the humanities or social sciences.
  • Material Review Board (MRB) and auditing experience is preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
  • Experience with AS9100/AS9110 requirements is preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations and apply them to procedures and processes.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure reports.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • The ability to understand and follow instructions and the ability to concentrate.
  • Excellent written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to get along with others or to be part of a team.
  • Access to Export Control Information.
  • Regular attendance.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year College or University; and 5-8 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· American Society for Quality Certifications preferred.

· Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt preferred
