Job Description :
Under the supervision of the HIM Operations Manager and Scanning Operations Supervisor will be responsible for the prepping and scanning of patient records. Will perform the quality check and validation functions of images for Inpatient, Observation, ED, Surgical Daycares and Outpatients. Will scan loose filing into the system.
- Utilizes Health Information Systems accurately to retrieve patient information.
- Retrieves all paper documentation from clinical units daily as needed. Verifies receipt, and monitors status of all charts issued for scanning.
- Fully prepares the records for scanning.
- Scans records into Cerner system.
- Using base scanning, manually indexes non-barcoded and barcoded documents to the correct account and doctype alias.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- General office experience
- Customer service skill
