Commonwealth Primary Care, Inc. is a physician practice comprised of 41 Board Certified, Primary Care Physicians, and 20 Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners who provide services to patients at eight office locations throughout the Richmond metropolitan area. These physicians joined together in 2002 to create an organization that would more comprehensively and more effectively meet the needs of patients.
We are looking for an Application Administrator to join our team! The ideal candidate will have experience with Electronic Heath Record (EHR) system maintenance & optimization, networking & security practices. Duties & Responsibilities:
· Works within a team setting to provide training, maintenance and optimization of our EHR system.
· EHR trainer for staff as well as providers.
· Implementation and train on new applications.
· Subject matter expert on all functions of the electronic record.
· Oversee implementation of software updates and/or additional EHR services
· Assist with system issues when outsourced vendor is not able to resolve.
· EHR administrator duties including adding and removing users, roles changes.
· Makes recommendations on appropriate equipment utilized for the EHR function.
· Purchases and deploys new equipment.
· Identify EHR improvement opportunities, including more efficient use of system, improve training and standardized workflows.
· Implementation of system upgrades, improved functionality, training and standardized workflows as approved.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Information systems, health information mgmt. health informatics or related field preferred.
· Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred
· Experience with an 8x8 phone system, Microsoft 365, Zoom, WindowsOS, authentication software implementation (such as DUO), and eClinical Works (eCW) experience
· Excellent spoken and written communication skills with all levels of staff including physicians and executive management
· Extensive experience as an application specialist and trainer
· Excellent documentation skills and ability to create new policies and training materials
· Familiarity with clinical workflows & experience developing workflows consistent with EHR applications in a team environment
· Experience generating and analyzing EHR reports and in a healthcare setting
· Experience implementing software interfaces
· Knowledge of software mapping
· Ability to interpret governmental healthcare policies, regulations, and program/certification-specific language (e.g.: HIPAA, MIPS, PCMH), and then propose organization-wide workflow changes in the EHR to meet those specifications
Salary, Schedule, Benefits & Company Culture:
Salary: Competitive Salary based on skills and experience.
Typical Schedule: Generally, this is a Monday-Friday 8am-5pm position. In the event of an emergency or a software implementation that requires after-hours work, flexibility is required.
