Position Summary

Perform an array of functions that includes receiving and processing incoming products while collaborating with other departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Assist receiving in unloading trucks and checking in merchandise on temperature-controlled dock in sub-zero temperatures (-10 to -20 degrees below zero) using either power equipment or manually

· Open boxes, crates and other containers. Verify quantity and description of merchandise received. Sort and stock merchandise

· Examine, down-stack, re-stack and segregate incoming damaged product

· Maintain inventory control by recording inventory and date code validation

· Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping debris picked up and floors swept

· Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers

· Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment

· Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations

· Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

· High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

· Good communication, organization, time management and mathematical skills

· Dependable and reliable

Physical Demands

• Able to withstand temperatures of -10 to -20 degrees
• Must be alert and focused

· Regularly lift and/or move objects weighing 10-80Ibs and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100Ibs with assistance

· Must be able to perform physically demanding activities (such as standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, sitting, climbing and balancing for long periods of time)

· Must be able to operate hand and power equipment (forklift and riding jack)

· Forklift certification within 30 days of job entry date

Hours of Work

A minimum work requirement of 5 days per week/8 hours a day. The work schedule is typically Monday through Friday 2pm until the job is completed. This position also works on Sunday’s when schools are in, starting at 9 am and ends when all orders are filled. Some hours/days vary depending on delivery appointments, holidays, staffing, etc.
