General Summary:

The IT Department Manager establishes, plans, and administers the overall policies and goals for the Application Team. This is an on-site position.

Essential Duties:

• Analyze the needs of different departments and determines ways to meet business objectives by modifying existing or implementing new information processing systems.
• Leads and directs the work of others.
• Manages the information technology department – software & EDI teams.
• Implements and maintains policies and goals that support the organization's IT needs.
• Ensures proper functioning of the information processing system and oversees necessary upgrades.
• Helps business operations groups utilize information systems to improve their efficiency.
• Ensures applications are updated to meet organizational needs. Coordinates with others to meet hardware requirements.

Education/Certification Requirements:

• Associate or Bachelor degree in a related area is preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Experience Requirements:

• Management experience required.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
• IQMS/DWorks or Oracle experience is strongly preferred.
• EDI experience is strongly preferred.

Skill Requirements:

• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
