Sales Representative

An American Implement Sales Representative sells new and used equipment to existing and new customers to best fit their operation’s needs.

Position Summary:

The Colby, KS American Implement location is seeking a motivated individual to join their sales team. This individual will use their interpersonal skills, product knowledge, and organizational skills to develop sales leads and provide solutions to customers. Having familiarity with the agricultural practices in the area, being able to present oneself in a professional manner, and possessing great communication skills will aid in the success of this role.

Responsibilities:

- Promote and sell the company’s new and used agriculture line of products.

- Maintain product knowledge including current market values, features and benefits of new and used equipment, as well as stay up to date on competitive lines of equipment.

- Develop working knowledge of financing options available to customers.

- Attend sales meetings and product trainings to stay current on equipment and offerings.

- Ensure effective communication is maintained with appropriate sales staff, other departments, and customers to meet individual sales objectives.

- Provide professional and courteous service and present a positive image of the company in efforts to maintain current customers and gain new customers.

- Comply with all processes, safety rules, and regulations.

Qualifications:

- Three to five years experience in sales

- Background in agricultural or related field

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Proficient computer skills
