We are seeking a Senior Accountant with a passion for problem solving, continuous improvement and versatility while creating efficiencies in processes and collaborating with the leadership team. The position reports to the President and provides information and services to all departments. This is a part time salaried position, requiring 16 to 24 hours per week.

The Senior Accountant protects company assets by establishing, monitoring and ensuring compliance with internal controls; prepares budgets based on projected revenues and available resources; works closely with department heads and the President to determine future needs of their departments and the Company. The Senior Accountant will follow GAAP and assist outside auditors as required.

Essential Responsibilities include:

• Perform hands on accounting functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statement reporting, and cash monitoring.
• Implement and maintain accounting and reporting policies and procedures
• Protect assets by establishing, monitoring and ensuring compliance with internal controls
• Prepare budgets by working with leadership to determine future needs
• Provide timely reports on the Company’s financial condition
• Prepare, review and analyze monthly financial statements
• Review cost and expense accounts
• Advises company leadership on compliance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements related to financial information

Skills and Experience include:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA license preferred
• 5 + years of financial accounting experience, including cost accounting, compliance, financial reporting, payroll, benefits, and taxes
• Experience presenting financial statements and other reports to leadership, including analysis and interpretation
• Critical thinking skills, strong judgment and decision-making skills
• Demonstrated experience with complex problem solving
• Strong communication skills, effective collaboration with leadership and peers
• Computer proficiency including major accounting related software
• Confidentiality and discretion at all times
