Base Compensation Range: $70,000 - 85,000 annually

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supports the period-end close process, the general ledger, and preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Collaborates with numerous departments to ensure accuracy of accounting entries.
• Develops and improves processes and timing of monthly close with the goal of gaining efficiencies in day-to-day operations.
• Performs analytical review of monthly operating results.
• Account reconciliations and analysis.
• Assists with year-end external audits and tax preparation.
• Maintains lease vision tool to ensure new leases are being entered into our tool accurately and timely.
• Prepares month-end journal entries and assess reasonableness of information.
• Monthly accruals and adjusting journal entry preparation.
• Cash management and ad hoc reporting as necessary.
• Trains, mentors and supervises assigned Staff Accountant(s).

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This role has no direct reports.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• 4+ years of accounting experience
• Ability to work with large amounts of data.
• Proficiency Microsoft Office programs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and internal staff.
• Ability to take ownership and be accountable for issue resolution.
• Must present a highly professional image and attitude.
• Highly organized and capable of multi-tasking.
• Self-motivated individual with great initiative and ability to work independently.
• Strong work ethic and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

EDUCATION:

• BS degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA or MBA preferred.
