SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Full-Time | Solon, OH
A Senior Software Engineer is pivotal in supporting advanced technical solutions for machine vision applications. In this role, you will work with the product development team (R&D) to perform design and implementation activities as well as support enhancements to existing products. As a member of our software engineering group, you’ll have the benefit of a team-oriented, collaborative, and engaging work environment while enjoying a flexible schedule and work/life balance.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Ability to lead small to moderate size software projects
- Design, implement, test, and support software to be used in the full life cycle of machine vision systems
- Generate documentation for internal and external use
- Assist in whole product testing for software releases
- Support Sales / Marketing / Operations as required
- Establish and maintain effective internal and external work relationships
- Maintain the professional competence, knowledge and skills necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities
- Meet with customers to determine requirements and test software operation (occasional travel - 5%)
- Mentor junior engineers
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent
- 8+ years working with the following:
- Microsoft Windows 10 / 7
- Microsoft Visual Studio IDEs,
- C/C++/C#, .NET, VC++, STL, MFC, Win32, WinForms, XML
- Multi-process and multi-threaded design environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Legally authorized to work in the US
- Machine Vision experience a plus
- OPC UA/DA (OLE for Process Control) experience a plus
