Senior SW Java Developer - Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD Clearance

Requirements:

• Clearance: Secret
• Shift Work? No
• Work Schedule: 8am-4pm (possibly flexible)Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of initiative, passion for innovation, and a solid understanding of software engineering.

All candidates will be expected to solve problems and demonstrate the ability to support the project team in developing solutions and executing task-related activities.

Role Requirements:

• 5+ years' experience developing in Java. Core Java (1.7+);
• multi-threading, concurrency, etc

Experience with the following software and technologies:

• Relational database with JDBC;
• preferably MySQL Version control systems, preferably Gitlab Java Message Service (JMS);
• preferably Apache Artemis Continuous Integration Software;
• preferably Jenkins (formerly Hudson) Automated software builds;
• preferably Apache Ant Real-time metrics software;
• preferably Prometheus Additional preferred experience: XML technologies including XSD, XSLT, XPATH, and Object XML mapping Apache HTTP server Java Messaging Service (JMS) experience, preferably with the STOMP protocol Web Programming experience (preferably PHP) Rest web services SNMP traps LDAP authentication Protocol Network Packet sniffing, Wireshark, Java PCAP libraries Familiarity working in Virtual Environments (VMWare ESX, Microsoft HyperV)
• Experience with Java application software installation Preferably IZPack

Additionally:

• Versed in different development methodologies; Iterative, Agile, Scrum etc.
• Knowledge of and experience with working on common design patterns and industry standards.
• Strong communication, analysis, and problem solving skills.
• Experience in creation of design documents on the task assigned.
• Quick to learn, self-motivated, and enthusiastic.
• Work well within a team environment and with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable working with project plans and contributing estimates to the planning process.
• Able to meet and deliver on deadlines and work well under pressure.

Candidate must be able to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance and a CompTIA Security+ CE Certification

Pay: $130,000.00 per year
