Sr. DB Engineer/Developer

TEP Holdings, LLC, a niche business and technical consulting services firm, supports the investment management disciplines within insurance companies, asset managers, and financial institutions.

Our client is undergoing several significant transformation initiatives this year generating the demand for some outstanding professionals to join our team.

What we’re looking for:

· Investment Management middle office Sr. Database Developer has a combination of experience in technical, investment, and people skills working in a fast paced, innovative, and collaborative environment.

· Both emotional intelligence and the ability to solve complex problems and communicate effectively are key to success.

· Ideally, candidate will have a strong background in Data Engineering and development skills to solve a variety of market risk analytic business issues in a cloud environment.

· Additionally, it is preferred that you have robust experience in cloud platforms and system architectures..

Candidates MUST come from the investment management or investment management systems either at an insurer, investment bank, or asset management firm. Highly qualified candidates only please.

This is a remote/hybrid independent contractor role, where valued performers will have the opportunity to continue well into 2023, potentially longer.

Additional detail for project technical roles:

• Create and maintain complex SQL scripts, SPs and TVFs.
• In-depth knowledge of referential integrity constraints and indexing
• Integration of back-end to front-end via with database design and implementation to support application development
• Ability to understand and enhance complex database models
• Model / Design new database solutions to new problems including application support, scalability, redundancy, and replicability
• Follow (and, if necessary, refine) in-house coding standards
• Troubleshoot/bug-fix SQL
• Performance optimization of SQL
• Database administration
• Maintaining bespoke applications / data warehouse
• Analyzing different user requirements and coming up with specifications for the various database applications
• Able to manage all the stages of software development
• Use database code repositories for change (GIT) management
