Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper

Established and growing Sonora CPA firm, providing high quality accounting and tax services, is seeking experienced Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper who desires a long-term position with opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

 Complete QuickBooks data entry and record adjusting journal entries
 Process bank account and credit card reconciliations
 Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
 Administer payroll and prepare payroll tax returns
 Prepare annual 1099s and business property tax statements
 Prepare sales tax returns
 Prepare financial statements
 Assist in the preparation of income tax returns
 Operate with value and respect for firm’s mission

Required Qualifications

 Must have minimum of 3 years of successful bookkeeping and payroll preparation
 Must be proficient in both QuickBooks and Excel; strong in MS Word
 Must have accounting and interpersonal skills to assist in managing clients
 Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
 Must be a team player with a positive attitude

Bonus Qualifications

 Experience working in a CPA firm
 Knowledge of Lacerte Tax software
 Accounting degree or successful completion of college-level Accounting classes

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
