A thorough understanding of the day-to-day operations of the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) a plus. Ability to identify for clients potential environmental permitting requirements and issues involved with given projects, well-versed in coordinating storm drain, SWM, and ESC design, permit processing, preparation of plans, specs and estimates, evaluation of MDE design manual impacts to SHA projects, and performing expedited MDE reviews on SHA-involved projects. Experience in hydrology and hydraulics engineering analyses and design involving the use of TR-55, TR-20, HEC-1, GISHYDRO 2000, and HEC-RAS procedures. Specific project experience includes H&H analyses, scour analyses, SWM and ESC design, open & closed system drainage design and flood plain analyses.
