JOB DESCRIPTION

Jovian is looking to strategically grow software product portfolio to meet the expanding needs of our customers. We are looking to add a Senior Software Engineer to join our team to support development, management & support for multiple software products for the U.S. Army and other parts of the DoD. A Senior Software Engineer provides mentorship and leadership to engineering teams and is responsible for the overall success of software products. A Senior Software Engineer is expected to excel at a broad range of engineering tasks supporting full life cycle development including planning, requirements, architecture, design, implementation, analysis, integration, and test. A Senior Software Engineer interfaces with key stakeholders from the Government, Industry, and Academia in order to execute engineering projects.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and Analyze System, Software, Hardware Architectures
• Perform Software Architecture, Design, Development, Integration, and Verification
• Support Product Planning and Execution
• Support Regulatory Compliance
• Provides Training and Mentorship
• Approval and Review of Engineering and Technical Data
• Perform Research in Software technologies
• Interface with the Customers and other Stakeholders
• Support Prototyping, Marketing & Support Operations for Software Products

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 10 years’ experience in Software Engineering and Product Development
• Experience with Full Life Cycle product development from requirements to Verification and Deployment
• Knowledge of Software Architecture and Design concepts
• Experience with Collaboration with Cross-Functional team
• Experience with Customer and Leadership communication
• Experience with Software Development Tools
• Experience with Technical Leadership on Projects
• Experience with Software Verification and Validation
• Experience with Project Management
• Experience with Software Product Deployment and Support

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in the Aviation or Automotive domains
• Experience with Embedded software product development
• Experience with Model-Based System Engineering
• Experience with Agile development processes
• Experience with DoD processes and standards

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering. *Requires an additional 2 yrs experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
